Skill Graph: mapping every goal into a learning path
Upsoma turns a learner goal into a structured map of prerequisite skills, dependencies, practice loops, and evidence checkpoints.
From goal to map
The Skill Graph starts with an outcome, then identifies the capabilities a learner needs to reach it. A backend engineering goal, for example, becomes a path across APIs, databases, testing, deployment, and systems thinking.
Each node is designed to be teachable, testable, and connected to adjacent skills. The result is a learning path that can be navigated, recalibrated, and explained.
Dependencies before content
Lessons are not selected as a flat playlist. The graph orders work around dependencies, so a learner does not get pushed into advanced practice before the supporting skill exists.
This makes the path useful for career movement, portfolio planning, and interview preparation because the system can explain why the next step matters.
Evidence at every node
Every skill node can collect evidence: completed lessons, checks, practice outputs, confidence updates, and recency signals.
That record turns progress into something observable instead of a vague completion percentage.
